Medley Wedding in Dublin

Can you describe your wedding in one word?

I’ll be honest, I’d find it hard. But FOOD would probably be pretty high on the list! If that’s you and you are still looking for that perfect wedding venue make sure to check out Medley wedding venue on Fleet Street!

Medley’s whole reason is passion for food. After travelling around Europe for 5 years Andrew Rudd, the renowned chef from Ireland AM, started his catering business that took off like a rocketship. This is how Medley was born – a place of great hospitality and outstanding food. The historic Irish Times building became the perfect venue in 2016 to host events, large and small, that are focused on creative food and memorable atmosphere.

Creative and Versatile

The beauty of Medley is how versatile it is. From an intimate get together to a loud party, to an 80’s disco brunch, you really can create any type of celebration you want. It’s a fully private venue so you’ll have the place to yourselves for the whole day, and the dedicated wedding team headed by amazing Chris Meyler will help you turn your dream into reality.

Medley is spread out across two floors. The spacious ground floor with floor-to ceiling windows leads way to a more intimate mezzanine to host your ceremony and evening party. The dark wooden floors and modern clean lines give the place cool loft-style New York vibes. It’s really spacious, too – the mezzanine upstairs seats between 60 and 150 dinner guests comfortably. Alternatively, you can use Medley as your after-party event and invite a staggering 350 guests – nobody has to miss out on your celebration!

Your Wedding Ceremony

Medley is fully licensed to host civil wedding ceremonies, so you can have all your wedding in one place (like Fiona and Iain in the photos below!). Unlike many other venues, there’s no additional charge to use the mezzanine as your ceremony space.

Looking to do something different for your wedding ceremony? Medley is located right in the city centre, so you are within walking distance to some beautiful ceremony locations, like Dublin City Hall (15min walk), Trinity Chapel (5min walk), the Unitarian Church or the University Church on St Stephen’s Green (15min walk).

Food. Food. Food.

Food is, of course, what Medley does best. And if you can’t look at another “beef or cod” wedding menu, you’ve come to the right place. Not only is the sample menu impossibly creative – think Irish buffalo mozzarella and figs, herb-crusted rack of Wicklow lamb and white chocolate cheesecake. You can also choose from really unusual and exciting options, like go for a tapas-style menu with a large selection of dishes and sharing boards. Or even choose the World Food menu for your wedding feast with Italian, Spanish, Mexican and Thai foods all in one! The Chef can tailor the menu just for you, so the possibilities are endless.

And if you want your wedding to be a true highlight-of-the-season event that your guests will talk about for months to come, there are some really unusual ideas. Think Hawaiian Poke seafood cart, a prosecco bus, an absinthe fountain or even a disco wedding brunch!

Medley has several wedding packages, from a relaxed sharing-board style event to a more traditional exquisite five-course menu. Prices range from €75pp to €140pp.

So what about the photos?

Medley’s location is another thing definitely worth mentioning. Situated just across the road from the Temple Bar, it’s within walking distance to all of Dublin’s most famous landmarks like the Ha’Penny Bridge, Grafton Street, St Stephen’s Green and the winding cobblestone streets of the Temple Bar. Most of my couples getting married in Dublin choose a city wedding because of how much those places mean to them. So on your way to the ceremony or during your drinks reception take some time to walk those streets and pop into your favourite pub for a sneaky wedding day pint!
